When you touch down in Edinburgh Airport, you will be welcomed to Scotland by a friendly local driver. You will be able to sit back and relax in your luxurious vehicle while your luggage is taken care of. From here, you will be transferred to The Waldorf Astoria, your luxurious, five-star accommodation located at the heart of Edinburgh city. En route to the hotel, you will catch a sneak peak of some of the magnificent sights which Edinburgh has to offer.

Your first stop of the day will be to the beautiful St. Andrews. With medieval roots, there will be lots for you to see and do in this historic, university town, ranging from a visit to St. Andrew’s Cathedral to the nearby Scotland’s Secret Bunker. Known as the world-famous Home of Golf, a visit to the Old Course is a must for any golf-enthusiast. Join an expert guide on a tour of the world’s most famous golf course and walk in the footsteps of icons of the game.

Once back with your driver-guide, you will continue onto to Balmoral, the famed favourite residence of the royal family in Scotland since 1852. During the summer months, the estate is open for the public to visit the grounds, gardens, and exhibitions, a most visit for any fans of ‘The Crown’ or the royal family.

Your final stop for the day will be to the vibrant, beautiful Pitlochry, in the heart of Scotland. Don’t forget your camera, as you will want to capture the spectacular scenery at Queen’s View. Visit the Blair Athol Distillery, standing at the gate of the Scottish Highlands. Enjoy a tour of this distillery, set in the most idyllic of settings.

Following a decadent breakfast in Fonab Castle Hotel, Bruce will meet you at a time of your choosing. Today you will travel north, further into the famed Scottish Highlands. You will travel through the largest National Park in the UK, Cairngorms National Park. You will continue onto to Balmoral, the famed favourite residence of the royal family in Scotland since 1852. During the summer months, the estate is open for the public to visit the grounds, gardens, and exhibitions, a most visit for any fans of ‘The Crown’ or the royal family. Soak up the unspoiled landscape as you drive through this area of stunning natural beauty. The Cairngorms National Park has more mountains, forest paths, rivers, lochs, wildlife hotspots, friendly villages, and distilleries than you can possibly imagine. You can find five of the UK’s six highest mountains, alongside 55 Munros – mountains over 3,000 ft. From ancient fortresses, wildlife, and distilleries to some of the best attractions and museums, you won’t be lost for activities in the Cairngorms.

Stop at the powerfully emotive and atmospheric Culloden battlefield where the 1745 Jacobite Rising came to its tragic finale. Considered one of the most harrowing battles in British history, you will be moved to witness the grounds where 1500 Jacobite soldiers lost their lives. Without a doubt, a visit to the Culloden battlefield, will deepen your understanding of Scottish history.

You will continue onto Inverness, a vibrant city with all the Highlands have to offer on its doorstep. Experience true Outlander Highland scenery, iconic castles, majestic mountains, and unique wildlife, including the famous Loch Ness monster.

Enjoy an evening at leisure exploring all Inverness has to offer, find a traditional pub, and enjoy a wee dram after your busy day exploring. Today, you will catch The Jacobite Tour, a coach and boat tour that transports you from Inverness to the famous Loch Ness. You’ll learn everything there is to know about the stirring past of these famous shores as you relax on this guided coach tour. Then it’s time to hop on board a cruise across the Loch’s world-famous waters, including a one-hour visit to marvel at the once mighty stronghold of Urquhart Castle before you sit back and relax on your return coach journey to Inverness.

Bruce will then bring you to explore some of the hidden treasures of the Highlands, based on your interests. An area steeped in history and natural beauty, with glens, lochs, rushing streams and the stunning Plodda Waterfalls.

Today you will travel West with Bruce towards the West Coast. As you enter Lochalsh, you will be met with the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most recognisable castles. Strategically located on its own small island, overlooking the Isle of Skye, Eilean Donan’s setting is truly breath-taking. In short, there are numerous reasons why Eilean Donan enjoys such romantic and iconic status in the hearts of our nation and its visitors, but to understand what’s at its core, you have to go and discover it for yourself.

Today will not disappoint, as each scene you pass will continue to impress. Crossing over the Skye Bridge you will leave the mainland behind to spend two days on the most scenic and magical island, The Isle of Skye. Your first stop once on Skye will be to Sligachan Bridge, a picturesque, scenic spot. Testament to engineering of the past, the bridge dates from 1810 and provides a great viewing point for the Black Cullin Mountains. Your next stop will be at the foot of the Black Cullins to witness the famous ‘Fairy Pools’ which entice visitors from all over the world every year. The Fairy Pools are beautiful rock pools of translucent mountain spring water fed by a series of waterfall from the Cuillin Mountains. For the adventurous at heart, the pools provide the perfect, if icy wild swimming location, however, everyone can enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.

From here you will travel North to Neist Point. Located on the most westerly point of Skye, Neist Lighthouse was built in the early twentieth century. While the views from the carpark are beautiful, Neist Lighthouse is best viewed from the cliffs themselves. From the pathway, you will see stunning views of the high cliffs and the lighthouse itself. As sunset the view is made even more spectacular making this a top destination for landscape photographers.

Your final stop for the day will be in Portree, the largest town on the Isle of Skye. Experience the bustling, seaside atmosphere in this popular tourist destination. Have your camera to hand to capture a picture of the picture-perfect, brightly coloured cottages which line the harbour. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be the ideally located, Marmalade Hotel. Set amongst mature gardens, overlooking the picturesque town of Portree, with views of the loch and Cullin Mountains, Marmalade Hotel will truly provide a memorable stay. Today you will wake up on the magical Isle of Skye. You will be taken on a spectacular drive around the Trotternish Peninsula, experiencing some of the most breath-taking scenery on the island. Your first stop will be to the Old Man of Storr, famous for its magnificent scenery and views, a popular hotspot for hikers and photographers. The Old Man is a large standing formation of rock part of the Trotternish ridge. From here you will continue onto Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls. Mealt Falls are a dramatic waterfall, where the water plunges off steep sea cliffs into the ocean. From the viewing point, not only do you see this unusual sight of a waterfall plunging into the sea, but you also get to observe the interesting formation of Kilt Rock, so named as the basalt cliffs resemble the pleats of a kilt.

An essential destination for any visitor to Skye, is the Quiraing, an area of stunning natural beauty. The Quiraing is the remnant of an ancient landslide that has formed a breath-taking series of valleys, gorges and mountainous peaks on the northern tip of the island. Skye has a long history of fairy mythology, which will be evident at the Fairy Glen, an area in which the road winds around small round grassy hills with ponds or lochans in between, giving the area a real otherworldly feel.

Your next stop of the day will be to Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. Located at the heart of the 42,000 acre MacLeod Estate you will find Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. Dunvegan Castle is one of the greatest Hebridean castles and the only one which has been continuously occupied by the same family for 800 years. Home to the treasured Fairy Flag of Dunvegan, no trip to the Isle of Skye can be complete without visiting Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. Following your visit, you can make a quick stop to the Dunvegan Bakery, the oldest bakery on Skye to sample some of their fresh, homemade produce

Your final trip for the day will be to the Talisker Distillery, the oldest working distillery on Skye, set on the shores of Loch Harport. Observe the five copper pot stills and the traditional worm tubs that make Talisker so unique. Enjoy a tasting of the award-winning Talisker Single Malt Scotch Whiskey. From here you will travel back to your luxurious accommodation at Marmalade Hotel.

This morning you will leave the majestic Isle of Skye, but fear not as you will travel south through some of the most spectacular scenery Scotland has to offer. Travelling south through Fort Augustus, the most southerly town on Loch Ness, you will continue towards Fort William, your first stop of the day. From sandy beaches and dramatic hills to iconic films locations, castles and distilleries, there are plenty of things to do in Fort William. Take your time and explore the natural wonders of Lochaber, breathe the fresh mountain air and marvel at some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. From Fort William, you will be able to see Ben Nevis, the highest peak in Scotland and marvel at its majesty.
A further stop at Glenfinnan Viaduct, famed for providing the backdrop to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, this area of stunning natural beauty is well worth a visit.

Next you will travel through Glencoe, perhaps, Scotland’s most famous and scenic glen. Words cannot do this area of spectacular beauty justice, but this area of awe-inspiring beauty and a sorrowful past, will without a doubt remain with you long after you have travelled through.

Your final destination, for the day will be the spectacular Loch Lomond. The mesmerising loch lies in the heart of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, where you’ll be surrounded by charming villages, rolling countryside, hills, and some truly wonderful activities.
