We work with local historians throughout Scotland and Ireland, who will uncover information on your ancestors. We will link with the historians and ensure that a few days of your tour are dedicated to exploring your ancestor’s past, your very own ‘Finding your Roots’ experience.

Along with discovering your past, we will work to include the high points of a tour to Scotland or Ireland with you and create an itinerary which works best for you. We can also recommend some tourist attractions which may be of interest to visit, depending on your ancestors’ stories.

Some highlights on an ancestry tour:

EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, Dublin

With more than 10 million people emigrating from Ireland over the centuries, you can discover how such a small country had such a large impact on the world. A fully interactive experience, you can discover the inspiring stories of the Irish people who travelled the world, from the celebrated and famous, to the unsung.

Dunbrody Famine Ship, New Ross, Wexford

One of the south-east’s premier attractions, the Dunbrody is an authentic replica of an 1840s famine ship. Discover the bravery of those who travelled on similar ships to new lives in America. Next to the ship, is the renowned Emigrant Flame, which burns permanently to remember all emigrants throughout the world.

Cobh, Co. Cork

Cobh holds great historic significance for many with Irish ancestry, as it was for many, the port from which they left Ireland for distant shores. A statue commemorating Annie Moore, the first passenger to pass through Ellis Island, is located on the quayside. Known for being the final port of call of the Titanic on its fated journey, Cobh is now home to The Titanic Experience, located in the former White Star Line buildings. Follow the final footsteps of passengers of the Titanic and listen to eyewitness accounts of the tragedy.
